Recently we had the pleasure of chatting with musician, lyricists and singer, Tom Pinsent and presenting his talent to our audience. Tom had been highly recommended to us as a guest, and all we must state after meeting this fine musician and hearing his style of music, we were simply ‘blown away’.
The interview takes you from Pinsent’s musical journey from beginning, where he worked for years as part of a band and honed his talent of acoustic guitar and lyric writing, to the present where he decided to write and record as a solo artist. Great idea for he received much air play and rave reviews.
Reviews of Tom’s album, GT Lounge, were quite impressive, comparing him to the likes of John Mellancamp, Bob Seger and even the legendary Eric Clapton. See where we are going with this? This man has talent!
If you have not heard of Tom Pinsent, we highly recommend you check out his web-site. Think you shall be as ‘blown away’ by his style as we at It Matters Radio were. His mellow tones, artistry and feelings are evident throughout his songs and the beauty of the lyrics can touch the heart.
One particular song which Tom Pinsent holds near and dear to his own heart is “A Kid Like Me", written to honor the men and women of the Armed Forces all over the world. Can’t leave out the song, “Life Goes On’, which is perhaps one of the most memorable of lyrics, written when his son was going through a tough time in his life. GT’s Lounge is a truly magical and beautiful album, and one well worth a listen. Be sure and check out our interview to see why Tom penned GT’s Lounge as the title and be sure to take a listen to his newest release, Fantasy.
